Paul & I had a great flight today from Rufforth to Bedlands Gate, 30 mph headwind all the way so it was a 2 hour flight to get there, up at 5,000 feet to miss the turbulence & low cloud.  Nice cuppa with the lovely couple at Bedlands, and a quick turnaround before taking off for a quick jaunt around the lakes.  Up Ulswater, climbing to 6,000 feet as the turbulence increased at the foot of the mountains, and then the most fantastic views above the clouds, looking down on Helvelyn, and down to Ambleside in next to no time.   7,000 feet home with 30 mph tailwind, and safely tucked up in the hangar before sunset.  Grand day out again!
