Learn to fly a fixed wing or flex wing microlight – affordable aviation that’s great fun! Airsports Training is a “Centre of Excellence” in microlight pilot and instructor training and has successfully trained hundreds of microlight pilots and scores of instructors in our 25 year history. Our highly professional but friendly and enthusiastic instructors are all approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and their goal is to equip you with the skills and knowledge to operate a microlight aircraft legally and safely.
The Gyrocopter Experience is a network of Gyro Flying Schools in the UK, with Rufforth East being the first and their head office. The team have an ambition to get as many people as possible to experience the thrill of flying in a Gyrocopter.
Rufforth Airfield East is 2 miles from York, on the B1224 road from York to Wetherby. The entrance to the airfield is off the B1224, just on the east edge of Rufforth vilage.
